The latter part of January I started looking for a new furnace and a reliable company to install the furnace. I contacted four companies all very reputable according to the reviews I saw on their websites. While going through the process of getting proposals from each of these companies I was impressed by Steve Staggs of DA Mechanical who was very personable and very warm in his approach to my needs and expectations. He presented the variations of available units to me and recommended what he thought would be appropriate for my needs. There was no high pressure approach to sell me more than I wanted nor to sell to me immediately. He was willing to work with my timing and gave me respectable repayment terms. He made a follow up call to me after installation to let me know that I could qualify for rebates from DTE Energy and Consumers Energy based on the type of furnace, filtration system and thermostat I had them install. This is a bonus thus reducing the cost of the installation even more. He was already approximately $200.00 less expensive than the next best offer and his warranty were better. The installers came to my home on the agreed upon day and at the agreed upon time. The installers were friendly and very knowledgeable about the furnace and the installation. They were prompt, didn't stop for breaks and finished the job in less time than I anticipated. They were adamant that I contact them at any time if there were issues with the installation or the unit. They cleaned up after themselves and left the work area as clean as before they started the installation. They had no qualms about me watching them and asking questions while they were doing the installation. I would recommend DA Mechanical for cooling and heating to anyone who would ask me and I have developed a level of trust that I would call them for other needs within their field of knowledge and expertise as required.

Description of Work:

D.A. Home Improvement has been our #1 home improvement company since approx. 1992. Every door (front, back, patio,room, closet) and window of our home was installed by D.A.. Our home addition including a fireplace and sun porch with sky light was done by D.A.. Our car port, drive way repair, patio all done by D.A. Our main bath with new bath liner and walls and our bath in our basement have been updated by D.A.. Every room in our home has been touched and improved by D.A. either by remodeling to correct a problem caused by years of use or by totally starting from a blueprint and ending with a completed beautiful addition.

With every project completed by D.A. we have been impressed with their professionalism, honesty, personalization as they met with us, worked with us, performed the task to be done. Each day they never left a mess, always ended their day cleaning up after themselves, and were always concerned about our comfort as the project was accomplished. We truly appreciated their suggestions as we approached/discussed/planned an upcoming project, their work ethic as they completed a project, their attempts to maintain the agreed to schedule, and their including us in each and every step of each project’s completion.

The purpose of this communication is to commend all of you on the wonderful work you did at our residence in late June.

As you are aware, in summary, the scope of your work consisted of removing and replacing the counter surfaces in the kitchen; removing and replacing the fascia around the sink area; replacing the sink and faucet; repairing the wood on the kitchen floor damaged from a prior incident; removing and installing all kitchen appliances; replacing the bowl, shower faucet and repairing the shower drain in one bathroom and replacing three toilets.

When we were looking for a company to do the work, among other things that sold us was the neat and eye catching appearance of your office. In addition, we were well received by the office attendant, Linda, who made us feel at home and showed genuine concern for the work we were about to undertake. The sale representative, Jim Ledbetter, was very good with us in explaining our options; the scope of work in involved and answer our questions with clarity.

The work described above too approximately one week to complete and involved several people but there was little to no confusion because the coordinator of the project, Monica, kept things moving in an organized and efficient fashion. Her efforts were supported by the project supervisor, Lenny who demonstrated a great deal of care and experience in solving the few problems that arose. Finally Dave and Eric displayed some real skills during the project installation and floor repair and did their best to be as near as possible. both men answered and questions that we and and we enjoyed having them in our home.

We recognize that so many other individuals made this project a success and while not singling them out individually want to thank them for their efforts on our behalf.

Finally, what we got was a quality product done in a timely manner for as reasonable coast as possible and we would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone.

It is my pleasure to provide this reference relative to the work recently performed by D.A. Mechanical, LLC, through David Adamczyk, Jr.

Forest Hills Cooperative is a 306 townhouse development each having their own separate HVAC units. The Cooperative hired D.A. Mechanical, LLC to mitigate the removal of asbestos containing material found in the thin cardboard sheets above the furnace duct work in our basements. They also cleaned the duct work throughout each unit, installed new 95% efficiency furnaces and installed central air conditioning.

D.A. Mechanical served as the General Contractor, while Environmental Maintenance Engineers, sub-contractor, performed the removal.

Throughout the entire project, all workers associated with D.A. Mechanical, LLC whether it was a sub-contractor or their direct employee, presented themselves in a professional and courteous manner to our membership. Having to enter 306 homes is not an easy task; however, in each and every instance they performed the required work in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

We have used the services of D.A. Home Improvements and D.A. Mechanical, LLC for over 30 years. They have performed millions and millions of dollars of renovations for us. We have never been disappointed. When issues arise, they are handled in a professional and immediate manner. If you are contemplating using their services, I would, without hesitation, recommend them highly. You will not find a more professional, competitively priced, hard-working crew.

We had been thinking about having an addition built on the rear of our Trenton ranch for a few years, and in 2004 we decided to take the plunge and have it done. My wife was adamant from the very beginning of the process that D.A. Home Improvement was the only company that we would consider for the job. We knew the owners, David and Cecilia Adamczyk professionally and personally, and were aware of their reputation for outstanding workmanship, professional demeanor, and integrity. nThe approximately 500 square foot brick addition constructed on the back of the house has a 12 foot cathedral ceiling with 2 mechanical skylights, a cantilevered walk-out bay with 4 casement windows, French doors, and a large custom arched window. All the windows and doors were made by Andersen. The corner gas fireplace is highlighted by a beautifully constructed mantle, and trim, that blends seamlessly with the 6 inch base molding. The doors, windows, and adjoining opening have beautiful 4 inch casing topped with spectacular 6 inch crown moldings. All this amazing finish carpentry accents the totally flawless expanses of perfectly installed drywall and gorgeous beech hardwood flooring.nThe exterior workmanship is no less impressive. From the excavation for a new sewer (required by code), to re-roofing the house and garage to match the addition, D.A. Home Improvement handled everything. The new brick and mortar was a perfect match to the original, and was masterfully installed and included attractive accents around the doors and windows. All new aluminum trim and seamless gutters and downspouts added the finishing touches.nWhile all this was occurring, D.A. tackled my sagging 2 1/2 car garage. After I transferred all the contents to a storage facility, David Jr. and crew jacked up the roof, pulled in the walls, and installed custom made trusses and cross ties to hold it all together. The garage is now as good as new.nThis was a very big project and it required an experienced, imaginative, resourceful, and reputable company to turn our dream into reality. D.A. Home Improvement, Inc. proved to be more than equal to every challenge. The logistics of a job of this scope was mind boggling, but everything from permits to heavy equipment rentals, material deliveries, and manpower requirements was smoothly orchestrated. While Dave Adamczyk Sr. was ultimately responsible, his more than qualified son David Jr. was on site every day to supervise and lend a hand when needed. At any given moment he could be found on his cell phone with a supplier, operating a Bobcat, supervising the concrete pour, discussing details with his various crews, or helping jack up the garage. Although his job was very demanding, it was made easier by the fact that each and every person under his leadership was an extremely skilled, expert craftsman. D.A. only employs the very best people. The work crews were always punctual, courteous, friendly, and highly motivated, even when the summer temperatures were on many days flirting with 100 degrees. They all took great pride in their work and at the end of each work day they made it a point to clean and inspect the site.nI am sure that it is obvious by now that we were more than happy and satisfied with work that was done. We absolutely love the addition and enjoy all the compliments we receive on it. We were so pleased with the results that the next year we had D.A. Home Improvement replace all the remaining windows in our house, and just last month had some kitchen cabinets fabricated. We are approaching retirement and we hope that our home will not need to have much more work done, but if it does, D.A. Home Improvement, Inc. is the company we’ll choose.n

Remodeled kitchen cabinets, counter, and back splash. In basement removed damaged lower cabinets and “wet” bar. Capped two separate sinks and accompanying drains. Installing wainscoting and new flooring (flooring was type traditionally used in high end garages). Member Comments: I was looking for some help with putting my basement back together after the flooding last summer and wanted to go with a local company. I found D A Home Improvement via Angie’s list search. I had purchased a new product as the flooring option for my basement, made to be used in garages, but I wanted to use indoors. They did a fabulous job with the flooring and helped me find a good option, read not to expensive but looks great, wainscoting. Also gave a such a good price on re-doing my kitchen cabinets and counter that I could not pass up to chance to have the kitchen redone. I needed more help with picking out finishes for the kitchen and their Mr Lee Kelly was wonderful. I found the work men ( Paul, Clarence and James) to be thorough, very prompt, cleaned up after themselves, and overall did a wonderful job! The entire job was mostly finished in about a week, just a couple days over for last minute punch list items.

Best products as displayed in their showroom sold me from all the other Home Improvement companies in the Downriver area. At first I was skeptical, as I thought all the estimates from four(4) different companies were high, but in cost comparison, as to making my bathroom the way I desired it to be, DA did all they said they would do and I am very happy. Paul Allen and his crew worked with me on the detail of my tile, air-tub/shower area, and professional finish of the trim-work, wanescoating, lighting, etc., which reflects a luxurious bathroom to relax in and I am proud to show it off ! They also installed all new interior six(6)panel doors with new hardware & they also look fabulous. My 50’s built home now looks and feels like a brand new home. Very helpful! Worked with my insurance agents, addressed all the project needs and executed the job in a timely manner with quality workmanship. Roofing crew and Trim installer’s were very professional from start to finish. A Home Improvement is the only company I will recommend!

The job went extremely well, from the initial quote to the finish. They were not the cheapest quote I got, but they were able to do it all. In other words, I could go to one company and get an exhaust fan installed and get all the plaster work completed. I wanted good plaster work because this house is almost 90 years-old and I do not want to do this again. The electrical/HVAC team arrived first and installed the fan with seemingly no problems. They also were able to vent it out the side of my house like I wanted rather than out the roof. They were just great and I love the fan. Then, we spent a good week with Ron, the plasterer, and his assistant Shiloh. They were great! Ron is a true artist. These walls were so wavy and cracked and going every which way but straight before. You ought to see them now. They are totally flat and beautiful and ready to prime and paint. This job was well worth the money. I would highly recommend their plaster work for anyone.
